This section covers questions about your entitlements and what you can claim for on your Simplyhealth plan. To speed things up, we've included direct links within the FAQs so you'll be taken to the correct information within your account when you click them.

Depending on the level of plan you have, you may or may not have the benefits that are talked about below. You can check what you’re covered for by looking at your 'Table of Cover' in your online account.

When can I start using my entitlements?

Your plan is ready to use from your start date. Here’s a link to ‘My Policies’ where you can see your:

  • Plan start date: The date you joined Simplyhealth

  • Claiming year start date: The date your entitlements refreshed

  • Renewal date: The date your plan is due to be renewed

If you haven't registered for an online account yet, you'll need to do that first. Find out how to register your account here.

When do my entitlements start again?

Your benefits and entitlements reset at your renewal date. You can check when your renewal date is in your online account, or for future reference, sign in and go to ‘My Policies’. Your renewal date is shown at the top of the page.

Where can I find how much I've got left to claim?

Stay on top of what you have left to use in your current plan year through both your online account and the SimplyPlan app.

SimplyPlan app

If you're using the SimplyPlan app, click 'Policy' at the bottom of the screen.

Look under 'My Entitlements' to see what you have as part of your plan and how much you have left to claim for each treatment or service. You can tap on the individual entitlements for a more detailed breakdown of payments and claims.

You can check what others named on the plan have left to claim by clicking on their name under 'Dependants'.

Online account

To access your remaining entitlements, sign in to your online account and click 'My Policies' from the dashboard.

Then scroll down to 'Entitlements' to see what you have as part of your plan and how much you have left to claim. Click ‘see more’ to find the broken-down payback details for the benefit you’ve selected.

You can check the remaining entitlements for others named on the plan by clicking the dropdown under Entitlements and selecting their name.

Where can I find my important policy documents like Table of Cover and Terms & Conditions?

Your policy documents can be accessed both through the SimplyPlan app and your online account.

SimplyPlan app

To access important documents like your Table of Cover in the SimplyPlan app, scroll down the list of options to find 'My Documents'. Tap on this to find all the relevant documents, including Table of Cover and Terms & Conditions.

If you want to check the running total of your remaining entitlements, go back to the home screen and click on 'Policy' at the bottom. This will show you a list of all your entitlements and how much you have remaining for each one.

Online Account

Find all your important policy documents in one place in your online account.

To access your Table of Cover, sign in to your account and click on 'My Documents'. You'll see Table of Cover in the list of documents available for you to view. This document explains what treatments and services are covered under your plan. Make sure you refer to the level of cover that matches the premium you pay.

A quick way to check your entitlements is to click ‘My Policies’ and scroll down to 'Entitlements', where you’ll see what's included in your plan and how much you have left to claim.

Why do the benefits listed on the website differ to those shown in my account?

We’ve been providing health plans for a long time and, over the years, our products have changed. This means some of our customers have plans that we no longer sell.

Whilst we promote the plans we’re currently offering to new customers on our website, it’s easy to check the cover you have in place through the 'My Documents' section in your online account.

Make sure you have cover in place that suits you and your family. If you'd like to talk to us about reviewing your plan, send us a message, and our dedicated team will be able to help.

Can I carry over my unused entitlements into next year?

If you haven’t used all your entitlements, you cannot carry them over into the next year.

All of our health plans work by providing you with an annual entitlement you can claim back for each benefit during your plan year. At your renewal date, your entitlements are refreshed.

Don't worry if you've forgotten to make a claim, we don't close your entitlements off. You can still make claims on previous years' entitlements if you had treatment during that time and had entitlement remaining to claim back.

How do I find out what I can claim for?

Your benefits and entitlements will vary based on your health or dental plan.

You can find out what you can claim for through the SimplyPlan app, your online account, and your Table of Cover document:


SimplyPlan app


Sign in to the SimplyPlan app on your device and tap on 'View policy and benefits'. This will provide a list of all your benefits and the remaining entitlement for each.

If you don't have the SimplyPlan app, we definitely recommend downloading it. It's the quickest way to make a claim and allows you to check entitlements on the go. To learn more about the app, check out our guide here.


Online account

Sign in to your online account through the Simplyhealth website, then click on 'My Policies' from either the top navigation or the home screen. This will show a list of your benefits and remaining entitlements.

Table of Cover

Your benefits and entitlements will be included on your Table of Cover document, which would have been emailed to you when you joined Simplyhealth or when your plan was renewed.

You can also check your Table of Cover within your online account.
